U.C.B.L. and SMO orthotics are custom-designed foot orthoses created to improve foot stability, alignment, and balance in children with significant foot deviations or instability. These orthotics help control forefoot, midfoot, and subtalar movement while still allowing natural ankle motion needed for developmental activities such as crawling, standing, and squatting. They are commonly used for conditions related to low or high muscle tone and postural instability.
